Ancient remedies for modern problems

Dr. Gerry Pan explains the fascinating subject of the body's meridian energies.

Gerry Pan explains the fascinating subject of the body's meridian energies.

For thousands of years, traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been developed, practised and continuously improved upon. TCM includes the practice of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Chinese massage, Qi-Gong therapy, Chinese medicated diet plans and much more.

Chineseway Health Centre offers you a complete healthy lifestyle solution using all methods of TCM.

Acupuncture

For over 5000-years, acupuncture has been used as an integral part of medical treatment in China. According to TCM theory, a person's health is influenced by the flow of Qi (body's energy force) in the body, in combination with the universal forces of Yin and Yang. If the flow of Qi is blocked, imbalanced or reduced in any way, Yin and Yang will be affected and illness may result.

Acupuncture is used to regulate Qi, and other vital systems throughout the body, as well as balance Yin and Yang, thereby restoring the body's functions back to a healthy state.

Chinese Herbal Medicine

In traditional Chinese medicine, specific healing qualities of certain herbs are used to treat diseases, rectify the hyperactivity or hypoactivity of Yin or Yang, assist the body's ability in restoring normal physiological functions, and consequently curing illness and restoring health.

Chinese Massage

Chinese massage is a medical therapy where various manipulations are applied to certain points on the human body in order to prevent and heal illness. Its immediate effects can range from the promotion of blood and Qi circulation, to the removal of blood stasis, from the regeneration of injured soft tissues, to the correction of deformity and abnormal location of bones and soft tissues.

The dynamic wave signals incurred by the manipulative treatment can reflexively influence the physiological function and pathological state of the body's fluid, Qi and blood, through targeting channel points located all over the body.

After diagnosis, manipulative techniques are performed to either achieve a tonifying, purging, mediating, exciting or restraining effect depending on the deficiency and excess of the patient's constitution and type of illness.

Chinese Qi-Gong Therapy

Qi-Gong is a method that self-regulates functional activities, maintains dynamic equilibrium, and enables the body to produce an "energy-storing" reaction. It helps reduce energy consumption and increase energy accumulation. It regulates Yin and Yang, cleanses the lymphatic and other internal systems, thereby releasing and emitting unblocked external Qi.

Health Preservation & Rehabilitation using TCM

TCM health preservation is one of many medical pursuits which, through various ways, cultivates life, builds health, and prevents illness. This ultimately means: prolonging life! It involves the cultivation of one's mind, the regulating of dietary habits, the balancing of work and leisure, and the organisation of daily life, etc. TCM rehabiliation treatments are based on the same principles and concerns, and are used to regain healthy functionality of the body after illness and/or injury.

Chinese Medicated Diet

Chinese medicated diet plans are specially prepared using Chinese herbs, foods and condiments that prevent and cure illness and fortify one's energy. Its preparation is based on TCM methods of differentiating symptoms and signs from the body and using an appropriate combination of food and herbs to treat the cause and provide a natural solution. The healing properties of herbal medicine combined with the enjoyment of food make these diet plans an enjoyable way of keeping one's health and prolonging one's life.
